The Salmon Restoration Association is at it again in Fort Bragg. Last year the organization gave a check for $30,000.00 to Trout Unlimited to go towards the restoration of  Kass Creek. Not only have the salmon been over fished, the rivers and streams to which they travel to spawn have been poorly managed if not  destroyed. This money not only goes to make the streams better, but to educate the next generation on the responsibilities of cleaning our streams and not over fishing. The SRA is a great group and their annual barbecue in Noyo Harbor was fun this year with live music donated to the cause, lots of visiting between locals and tourists, and lots of corn, salad and bread.

Save the Salmon Cutlets Encrusted with Brazil Nut Crumble, Served with Creamy Horseradish Dill Sauce is a recipe created by Cherie Soria because of the World’s Largest Salmon Barbecue to give an alternative to eating the salmon. I highly suggest that you try this recipe: it is soooo good!
