Rising Star Chef Showcase
This showcase opportunity is for "up and coming" raw culinary artists who have a passion to teach! Selected applicants will present a 20-minute culinary demo of an original recipe. This is your chance to "show your stuff" and get your name out to a group of raw foods enthusiasts! Please call 707-964-2420 for an application or click here for the pdf version. Rawsome Pie Contest - Enter Now!
Everyone is invited to compete in the Rawsome Pie Contest. All entries will be judged on flavor, creativity, color, texture, and presentation. Each contestant is responsible for bringing all the equipment and supplies necessary to create their pie. The entry fee is $25 for each pie entered.
The grand prize winner will receive a $450 scholarship to attend any Living
Light Culinary Arts Institute training course at the Living Light Culinary
Center in Fort Bragg, California and $100 cash. The second prize winner will receive $50 in cash plus other great prizes! The third prize winner will receive $25 in cash and other great prizes, too!

Introduction to Raw Food Nutrition
Raw Food Doctors™ Rick and Karin Dina

The Living Light Culinary Arts Institute has teamed up with Raw Food Doctors™ Rick and Karin Dina to offer “Introduction to Raw Food Nutrition,” a fun and informative 4-hour course in the science of raw food nutrition. It will be held on Monday, August 27, 2007 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at the Living Light Center. This course will provide an abundance of scientifically based raw food education via multimedia presentations and group participation designed to help you gain a greater understanding of raw food nutrition and give you confidence in the role of raw foods for greater health and vitality. Class topics include understanding the caloric density of various foods, the effects of heat on food chemistry, raw food sources of vitamins and minerals, vitamin B-12 and raw vegan nutrition, optimal blood sugar regulation, and the role of essential fatty acids in human health.

FUNdamentals of Raw Living Foods
Tuesday, August 26, 8:00am to 6:30pm
Take Living Light’s entry-level class in a one-day intensive format. This course is the first in the Associate Chef training series and is a prerequisite for most other Living Light courses. Dozens of superb culinary presentations will show you everything you need to know to create a wide variety of delicious, easy-to-prepare raw recipes. Create fabulous organic raw vegan cuisine for optimal health and rejuvenation! Tickets for the Vibrant Living Expo and related workshops
