The 6th Annual Raw Living Expo was another extraordinary event this year, with time to learn, time to connect, time to experience creative ideas and creative people and eat delicious raw vegan food. One of the highlights this year was the Best of Raw Gala Awards Dinner, sponsored by Living Light International. What a thrilling evening it was, with awards going to so many incredible people working in the raw food field in a wide variety of categories. Of course, we are especially proud that Living Light graduates won ten awards and that we were honored with the Best EcoRaw Initiative for our Company-Wide Reduce Waste Campaign, which included replanting the lawn at Living Light Inn in Fort Bragg with drought resistant landscaping. Our entire staff can celebrate this victory, as each and every person at Living Light has made a commitment during the past year to reduce waste not only at the workplace, but in their personal lives as well. We are very proud of our graduates and the work they do out in the world. It has always been our goal to inspire, educate, and support everyone who attends Living Light Culinary Institute to become successful in their chosen raw food careers, and each victory by one of our graduates is a tribute to our staff and their dedication, as well as to all of the remarkable students who come through our doors from around the world. It is lovely to see the accolades bestowed on those who came to the school as novices and left feeling empowered to go out into the world to make their mark. We're bursting with joy, not only for the winners, but for all the raw food chefs, book authors, homemakers, community activists, teachers, and people from all walks of life who inspire us with their stories, their lives, and their hearts.
